What is Early Years Funding
Early Years Funding is a government initiative that helps cover the cost of childcare for eligible children aged 2, 3, and 4. It includes:
- Universal Entitlement: 15 hours/week for all 3–4-year-olds.
- Extended Entitlement: Up to 30 hours/week for working parents. (From the term after a child terns 9mths old)
2-Year-Old Funding: For families meeting specific criteria (e.g. income-based, SEND, looked-after children).

Tax Free Childcare
Tax-Free Childcare is a UK government scheme that helps working families save on childcare costs. For every £8 you pay into your online childcare account, the government adds £2, giving you a 25% top-up—up to £2,000 per child per year, or £4,000 for children with disabilities

To use your funding at Jellytots Nursery
- Check our avalability and arange a visit
- Have your child's details /birth certificate
- Have your eligibility code
- have your National Insurance Number
- Complete the Parent Declaration form

Deadlines
Submit your completed form and code to the nursery before the termly deadline:
- Autumn Term: 31 August
- Spring Term: 31 December
- Summer Term: 31 March

Confirmation and Start dates
Once your funding has been verified
- Settling in Visits will be aranged
- Funded hours will begin from the start of the next term
