About Us

Our Services
0-5 childcare
Full days are from 7.30-6 pm
A Half day session is for 5 hours
Flexible or hourly sessions are available and to be arranged on an individual basis 
We also offer term time only places

5-11 School and Holiday club
We offer a school club service that is charged on an hourly rate basis to give a cost effective and flexible service to parents. We collect children from Drighlington Primary school and also look after children in the school holidays.

Meals
All meals are included with nursery fee's and are home made meeting the nutritional needs of children, staff are training in food hygiene and allergy awareness and we have a 5 star food hygiene certificate.
We provide breakfast, a cooked lunch, tea along with snacks and drinks during the day. 

Parent Consultations
Twice a year we hold meetings with parents to discuss their child's development and progress and provides a good opportunity for parents to have an in depth conversation with their child's key person. We are also happy to meet with parents at any time if they have anything they wish to discuss. 

Stay and play Sessions
We plan stay and play sessions four times a year which provides both parents and grandparents the opportunity to come into nursery to join in with activities, talk to staff and develop positive relationships with their child's key person.

Integrated Two year Checks
We have links with the local health care providers who will come into nursery to complete children's two year checks, by having two year checks in nursery, children will be more relaxed as they are in a familiar environment and the child's key person can also be involved in the assessment process.

Working in partnership with parents
At Jellytots we provide opportunities for parents and carers to 
join in with their child's learning through stay and play sessions, 
fund raising events, and parent consultations. 
We also use the i connect and parent zone digital systems for
 learning journeys and daily feed back which supports good 
communication between parents and their child's key worker. 
This also creates opportunities for parents to contribute
 to their child's learning journey. 

Two year Checks
We work with the local health services to deliver two year integrated checks in setting

Fluoride Program
We have links with the local dentist who run a fluoride varnish program in setting

The Early  Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
We deliver the E Y F S through play based learning both indoors and out, monitoring 
and assessing children's progress and development on a regular basis in 
order to support children in reaching their full potential.

Every Child is Unique
Through close observation and strong relationships with parents and children we are 
able to deliver a tailored routine for each child that supports both care and learning. 
Activities are planned to support children's next steps and are based around individual interests in order to promote engagement, play and exploration.

Supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities
It is our aim to support all children to reach their full potential and in 
order to do this we have policies and procedures in place to support 
children and parents when a concerns are raised about 
a child's development or learning needs. 
We have a special educational needs and disability 
coordinator who will work with parents to make any necessary 
referrals to outside agencies.

Food and Nutrition 
At Jellytots we offer a balanced varied Menu that meets the guidance from 
the department of education and health England for nutrition. 
Menus are seasonal and all meals are freshly cooked by our experienced cook.
All staff working with children hold an up to date food hygiene certificate 
and Jellytots holds a 5 star food hygiene award.
We provide breakfast, snacks, lunch and tea along with 
fruit and drinking water available through out the day.
We cater for a range of dietary requirements and food allergies. 


Staff training and development 
As a business we believe that it is important to invest in the training and 
development of staff.  All staff have equal opportunities for 
professional development and have access to regular training and support. 
we ensure that all staff hold or are working towards 
relevant level 3 qualification in childcare and have up to date first aid, 
food hygiene and child safeguarding certificates.
